Proclamations

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, by Sam Smathers, Mayor of Jacksonville Village, and by the Members of the Jacksonville City Council, on this 21st day of November, 2017, that this Proclamation be displayed and that the Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Department, Jacksonville Fraternal Order of Eagles – Mohawk #1034, Corner Pizza, Trimble Township VFW Post 9866, and former Mayor Tony McNickle be honored for their valuable and outstanding contributions to our community.



Proclamations Mtg and Water Committee Mtg

Preceding the regular village council meeting on 11/21 we will be having a brief proclamations ceremony at the firehouse to recognize special contributions to the village from the Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Department, the VFW, the Eagles, and Corner Pizza.  The ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm.

Following the ceremony there will be a brief water committee meeting at 6:00 before the regular council meeting at 6:30 pm.

All are welcome at all of the events!



Change in Jacksonville Water Office

The Jacksonville water office will no longer have office hours.  Payments will now be accepted by mailing them to the address on your water bills or in-person at the First National Bank in Glouster.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

TTWWTD will NOT accept payments for the Jacksonville Water Office.

Council Agenda

If you wish to discuss specific issues with village council, please contact Heather at jacksonvilleohio@yahoo.com or call/text 740-684-0150.  You must contact Heather no later than the last Thursday before the council meeting to be added to the agenda.

Council usually meets the third Tuesday of every month.

Voluntary Water Line Information

We are collecting voluntary information about individual water service lines in the village. We need to know if the service lines on the residents’ side of the water meter is lead, not lead, or unknown.

If you’re willing to participate, please send your NAME, ADDRESS and LEAD, NOT LEAD, or UNKNOWN. You can send the information in email to shankkenny@yahoo.com or write it on a piece of paper and put it in the mailbox on the water office door.



Tomcat Care Center

Are you a parent/legal guardian of a Trimble Local student? Are you a Trimble Local School District employee or a spouse or a child of an employee? Are you feeling under the weather? Come let the Tomcat Care Center take care of you! Almost always, we can get you in and out within an hour or less!!! Typically there is no wait…which is AWESOME when you already feel bad! If you use Kroger Trimble pharmacy, you never even have to leave town!!! We are located in Trimble Elementary school building. Just go in and check in with the front office. Cancer Screenings

Free Community Clinic – Grosvenor Hall (Athens)

Breast and cervical cancer screenings and education will be provided by the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine’s (OU-HCOM) Community Health Program. Free Pap tests, pelvic and breast examinations, breast health education, and appointments for mammograms will be provided to uninsured and underinsured women. Appointments are required. Interested persons should call 1-800-844-2654 or (740) 593-2432 to schedule an appointment.

Free Medical Clinic

Mondays  – Grosvenor Hall (Athens)

The OU-HCOM Community Health Program is offering a free health clinic for individuals age 18-64 with no health insurance, are underinsured or cannot afford medical care. Runs from 8-11:30 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. For more information or to make an appointment, call 740-593-2432.
